Artificial intelligence is already part of how you learn, create, and make decisions, and it isn't going anywhere. AI Innovators is built on a simple belief: using AI well is a learnable skill, not a talent you either have or don't. Across five interconnected courses, you'll move from curious user to confident, critical creator. Not by getting everything right the first time, but by trying, reflecting, revising, and trying again.
The pathway is part of Excel Education Systems' Cognia STEM Certified program, a recognition awarded to schools that deliver high-quality, future-ready STEM education. Every course is designed as both a standalone starting point and a piece of the full pathway. No course requires another as a prerequisite, and there's no assumption that you've done this before. The one readiness expectation is Algebra 1, taken or in progress, since it's the math foundation the pathway builds on. Vocabulary and concepts are taught explicitly from there. Wherever you begin, you begin ready.
A note on how this pathway works
Every AI Innovators course is performance-based. Instead of memorizing for a test, you produce real, portfolio-worthy work, two projects per course, and you're assessed on process, iteration, and reflection alongside the final product. Rubrics reward growth. Projects are open-ended and student-chosen, so the work connects to your life and interests.
You can take any single course on its own, or follow the full five-course pathway for deep, transferable fluency. Either way, the goal is the same: to graduate ready to use AI thoughtfully, evaluate it critically, and create with it confidently, as an informed citizen, learner, and innovator in an AI-shaped future.
Future Ready Foundations
22-Credit Texas Diploma. Built for What Comes Next.
Future Ready Foundations is Excel High School's full delivery of the Texas Foundation High School Program. A Cognia-accredited diploma, a career pathway your student picks, and a Success Coach who knows them by name.
What's Included
