Future Ready
Programs built to prepare learners for the future. Future Ready is Excel High School's fully online educational option serving students in grades 6–12 — a comprehensive middle school, a genuine high school diploma, and authentic career exploration tailored to your student's starting point.
The core philosophy behind Future Ready is that our schools should prepare students for their future, wherever that future may lie.
That means middle school is the time for exploring what's out there, not deciding on a career path. That means high school students should be able to make a meaningful choice from one of the five Texas endorsement areas, on a true Distinguished diploma plan. And that means all of those options delivered online, on your student's schedule, with wrap-around support to ensure they succeed.
Future Ready Middle School and Future Ready High School stand independently complete. A 6th, 7th, or 8th grader could enter Future Ready Middle School and graduate out of Future Ready High School with a running start. A 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grader could enter Future Ready High School and graduate with a complete diploma. The majority of Future Ready students enter in high school. Some enter earlier. Both methods are successful.
Grades 6–8
A solid academic foundation. Genuine career experiences. Meaningful direction.
Middle school is where inquisitiveness is guided. Your student carries a full academic course load aligned with grade-level standards and is introduced to the career fields that the five high school endorsement areas will later be organized around. They explore. They sample. They begin to see the match for their interests.
